10 Important Symptoms of Depression

I know people (near and dear) right now, that are dealing with this

The Oily Guru

I am posting this article as a result of my unsuccessful attempt to get off anti-depressants after 30 years.  The holidays make depression worse, especially when you are alone.  After a MAJOR downward spiral I post this for awareness.  Clinical depression is not to be taken lightly.  That being said, here is the article in it’s entirety…

Axel F. Sigurdsson MD

Major depression affects more than 16 million American adults each year (1). It can occur to anyone, at any age. And, importantly, depression is not a personal weakness but a severe medical illness.

Of course, we all have times when our mood is low. Gloom, heartache, melancholy, woe, desolation. These are all parts of life’s journey and fortunately most often normal temporary reactions to daily events. But, at what stage should such feelings be defined as clinical depression?

About Kenneth T.

My blog, My way Welcome to a little piece of my life. Here you will find things concerning my everyday experiences and or my thoughts on everyday happenings. For instance you may find thoughts of my Farmstead, which is as my wife calls it, our Accidental Farming life. Perhaps on a whim, I might just jump on a soap box about what's going on with my crazy family (the immediate one, that is).~You don't need to put a penny in the coin slot for any commentary there~ You may find, new additions to what I call "Hobby-time". Ahh yes, my hobby... I make pinback buttons (some call them badges). Sorry for the shameful plug ;-) *** And then there is the outside the box or "Offtrack" thinking, part of me. Which can be anything else from aliens to the zoology of the Loch Ness monster, but will probably be more mundane as health concerns, for instance, to vaccinate or not. Is the Earth Flat or is it Hollow? Is there a dome? Is any of it real? Do you really want to know? Police brutality and the continuing corruption of established government, Big Business, Big Oil, Big Brother. Can we survive? Should we survive? The coming montrary collapse. There is so much going on, more then we see outside our windows.

  2. I agree with your comments on things that affect your mental state but I have come to realize that chemical imbalances for whatever reason they occur, are indeed real. I’m still trying to climb out of my self-made pit. I have over 230 essential oils and still need my meds. I will never go off of them again. Not pretty!!

  3. I have read the Oily Gurus post it was excellent. Many years ago a spiritualist advised me to go to see a Doctor. I think I should have gone to see a pyschologist for help with my emotional state. The thought of taking prescribed drugs I knew this would really harm my health and mental state of being. Even cough mixture has a bad effect on me. I would not think have the normal treatment. I believe in natural health and alternative medicine and this has relieved a lot of stress factors. I have worked on myself looking at personal issues to come to terms with how people have behaved towards me and learned to understand my part in all of this. The best herb for depression is Valerian as it closes the damage in the psychy.

Negativity plays a huge part in depression, anxiety and apathy. The negative energy can be overwhelming and with it though some people do not like to know this, are the demonic beings be them people or spirits who relish to push people over their limits. This is the truth behind depression.
