Well Tubularsock could make the case here for arming the deer.
AND if you can’t bring down a deer with one shot, you may want to switch your hobby to basketball!And shame on you for even shooting a deer “20 miles away” with a scope. A crossbow is a bit more fair if you have a need to kill an innocent animal. You may want to check in with your therapist about your “mother issues”.

If a bear was barreling down on Tubularsock, Tubularsock would barely have a chance to get out the semiautomatic, load, and fire.
In this situation, Tubularsock could make a solid case for a 1943 M4A1 Grizzly Variant of Sherman Medium Tank.
The Grizzly runs about 500 thousand dollars fully loaded. Probably best to buy one in a “Bare Market” to get the price down.
